Here in my Beverly Hills practice I am presented many patients during the week for corrective breast surgery. These patients all have different problems, which can include capsular contracture, double-bubble deformity, bottoming out, malposition of the implant and rupture.
A few weeks back I was presented with a 62-year-old female who was looking to remove her implants. She expressed that she had her implants for over 30 years and that she had loss volume in the right side. She knew that she could replace the old implants, however her desire was to just remove them.
The video below show the removal of the 32-year-old ruptured smooth round low profile silicone breast implant from the right breast. The implant was completely dissolved.
The post op photo is now 2 weeks out and she feels great about her choice and appearance.
